Live at Madison Square Garden: The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir
Customer Review: Big Letdown
I love gospel music and ordered this video expecting gospel music. I got more preaching and testifying than music. I didn’t send the tape back because by the time I paid shipping it just wasn’t worth the effort. I donated the tape to a religious organization. I will be extra careful when ordering gospel music again.

Customer Review: Inspirational and invigorating
I have watched this video several times and I love it. I am sending gift copies to family members. I am also sharing it with my pastor.

Customer Review: Supurb Vacation Home & Secret Garden
Frank and Christine Goodlake have given the Kissimmee area a wonderful vacation home with a secret garden which opens onto acres of lush green gardens.
Customer Review: It’s not that bad!!
The problem with sequels is that everyone expects it to pick up exactly where the first one ended…However this is not the case. Yes the first one was better, but as far as sequels go, I think this has had a good attempt. The original character of Mary Lennox is in it(all grown up now though of course, and played by Cherie Lunghi), and Joan plowright does very well in her leading role. The garden itself, although somewhat smaller than the original is very picturesque. There is some beautiful scenery in the film and I think it could be a very nice film to watch on a sunday afternoon with a cup of tea and your feet up!!.Quite a good film that stands alone, and you don’t feel you’ve missed any of the story if you haven’t seen the first one.

Justin Timberlake: [PAL FORMAT] Futuresex/Loveshow Live from Madison Square Garden

May 12th, 2008

Justin Timberlake: [PAL FORMAT] Futuresex/Loveshow Live from Madison Square Garden
Customer Review: This Import is PAL formatted
Just a short review to say that, although I am sure I will like this video; if you have an el-cheapo (like me) DVD player…..wait for the April 1 release also shown on search page. I ordered this import and although the specifications shows it NTSC….it is actually PAL formatted (European) In fact, it has PAL printed on DVD. My regular DVD player will not play it (it ejects on insert). My GoVideo DVD-R will play it but video has horizonal lines running thru it and is unwatchable. So if you order this import, BE SURE your DVD player will play PAL format!!

Customer Review: Pleasantly surprised, but…
I’m not particularly a fan of Justin Timberlake, but I watched this concert on HBO out of curiosity, and I was very pleasantly surprised. This guy puts on a good show, even if he does owe a royalty check to Michael Jackson, among others. The voice holds up well live, the band was solid, and the choreography was well done; it came together for a very tight, well-produced show. However, that’s also part of what I don’t like about it: it’s so tightly produced and choreographed that there’s no sense of spontaneity. Except for the specific references to New York and Madison Square Garden, you get the feeling that it is note-for-note, step-for-step the exact same show that concert-goers saw in Los Angeles, Phoenix and every other stop on the tour. That’s about my only qualm with it though… for anyone who enjoys dance/pop music at all, this is worth checking out.

Iggle Piggle has a blanket, it keeps Iggle Piggle warm and cozy at night, and this blanket will keep children warm and cozy too! The blanket is dark red-crimson and has a blue trim, and features a Iggle Pigle keepsake.
List Price: ?14.99
Amazon Price: ?10.00
Customer Review: Iggle Piggle Blanket
Reasonably nice item, not as soft & fleecy as I would of thought. Satin edges make a nice finish to the blanket. Worth the reduced amount on amazon at the moment but wouldn’t recommend buying it at full price.
Customer Review: Cuddly blankie fun…
My little boy loves cuddling up to a blankie at bedtime or whenever he’s sleepy. He also loves Iggle Piggle, so this seemed like an obvious choice! He loves the fact that it looks just like Iggle Piggles blanket, and the little mini Iggle Piggle that is attached is an added bonus for him! He loves popping him back into the little pocket when he’s finished cuddling. We are very pleased with this!

Penelope Hobhouse is England’s leading garden writer, garden designer, garden historian, lecturer and gardener, and host of The Art and Practice of Gardening (produced by Perennial Productions) for Home and Garden Television in the USA.
DISC 1
ROSES FOR THE GARDEN features top rose authorities and rose gardens: world renowned rosarian David Austin Sr. from his Nursery & Rose Garden in Albrighton; Patrick Taylor on the glory of old roses at Mottisfont Abbey. VISIONS OF NATURE: The Naturalistic Garden Style explores today s most sought after garden style on both sides of the Atlantic, with a stunning visual tour of England’s greatest 18th century landscape garden, Stourhead, and two of America’s great naturalist gardens: Winterthur Gardens’ March Walk and Longwood Garden’s native plant woodland garden, Peirce’s Woods. STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS: Garden Architecture & Ornament features the 20th century’s grand dame of British horticulture, Rosemary Verey in her equally renowned Barnsley House garden.. Hobhouse covers all the structural essentials, large and small: from steps, walls, and paving, to pots, paint color and garden furnishings THE SUMMER GARDEN sets out Hobhouse’s secrets for summer beauty and abundance using a blend of annuals, perennials and biennials in her garden at Bettiscombe, and with Sandra Pope in her spectacular yellow border at Hadspen House. NURSERIES & PLANT COLLECTIONS: Hobhouse explores the Victorian era walled gardens at West Dean with Jim Buckland and Sarah Wain. NEW GARDEN IDEAS explores new alternative garden styles, from her first gravel garden at Bettiscombe to the eclectic mix of garden styles and plants at John Brookes’ Denmans Garden, and James Van Sweden’s innovative garden fronting the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

DISC 2

FLOWER GARDENS leads with Marco Polo Stufano and his no-nonsense secrets for success from the celebrated Wave Hill Flower Garden. Penelope Hobhouse shares her insights from her own flower garden in Dorset. PLANTING THE BONES OF A GARDEN covers avenues and allees, plant repetition and rhythms, as Hobhouse presents the defining ingredients of every garden. Hobhouse explores two illustrative examples: the all-green topiary garden and the flower walk in its full spring glory. COLOR IN THE GARDEN serves up color theory basics and the art of applying it in the garden. from Helen Dillon and her celebrated blue, red and yellow color borders, to the gentle hues of Winterthur’s Azalea woods. THE USEFUL GARDEN presents both time-honored and contemporary interpretations that combine the useful with the ornamental: with garden writer Anna Pavord in the restored, centuries old walled kitchen garden at Forde Abbey; and Hobhouse in her front compost and cutting garden at Bettiscombe. THE SMALLER GARDEN features renowned American landscape architect James Van Sweden in a small private town garden he created in Washington, D.C., and Hobhouse with London Times garden editor, Stephen Anderton in the exceptional series of small garden rooms at England’s Wollerton Old Hall. THE COUNTRY GARDEN illumines how country garden principles can well apply to an urban or suburban setting, featuring John Brookes from his Denmans Garden in West Sussex, and Hobhouse with Irish garden designer Jim Reynolds in his enchanting Butterstream Garden. DESIGN BASICS highlights the most important aspects to consider in good garden design. She illustrates, from Athelhampton in Dorset, how grand public gardens offer a wealth of design and horticultural examples that can be applied to the smallest garden.

Customer Review: I would have rated it 5 starts… BUT…
Unfortunately as with the Region A release for this concert the specs are misadvertised. Don’t know if they plan on fixing this BUT the video is NOT in 1080p quality but in 1080i. Believe me.. you will see the difference..! So have this in mind before buying it! I would have double dipped since I already have the DVD but I will wait until they fix the glitch!

DISPATCH: ZIMBABWE - Live at Madison Square Garden DVD (w/ audio CD)

May 11th, 2008

DISPATCH: ZIMBABWE - Live at Madison Square Garden DVD (w/ audio CD)
“Dispatch: Zimbabwe - Live at Madison Square Garden” was directed by world-famous photographer Danny Clinch and filmed around the band’s three-night sold out run at New York’s legendary Madison Square Garden in July. The three nights at MSG, marked the band’s first appearances together since their 2004 farewell show, which drew more than 110,000 fans from 25 countries, making it the largest independent music event in history.” The DVD includes 4 hours of content which includes 2 hours of live concert footage and behind the scenes interviews plus an exclusive 30 minute documentary on the devastation in the African country. “Dispatch: Zimbabwe - Live at Madison Square Garden” will be sold in eco-friendly recycled packaging and come with a ten-song CD of the band’s favorite performances from the reunion dates. Also inserted in each package will be a DropCard, allowing fans to download all of the audio from “Dispatch: Zimbabwe - Live at Madison Square Garden.” The recordings were mixed by technical pioneer Brett Eliason who was responsible for Pearl Jam’s landmark official bootleg programs.

Customer Review: great buy
this comes with a dvd, a cd of 10 awesome songs, and it also comes with a pass to download 22 songs from the show. its an awesome dvd, and it all has good sound

Customer Review: Awesome!
Just discovered these guys and I’m crushed that I didn’t know about them when they were together. Anyway, great concert film. Looks awesome, even upconverted to my HDTV. Not the best sound mixing of a live concert that I’ve heard, but still sounds great.

Sounds silly, but the menus look sharp and have cool beats under them. Just a nice touch to show they didn’t cheap-out with production.

The audio disc is a nice bonus. Great work … Get this DVD!

Customer Review: A star is born
This is the opera that shot Georgiu to stardom. It’s easy to see why, with her combination of acting, looks and singing. Violetta is a very difficult role, it places very different demands on the singer in each act. Georgiu isn’t quite ideal for act 1, but after that she’s really in her element. You can practically see the paternal pride in Solti’s face as he watches his young protegee bloom. Surely the definitive Traviata.
Customer Review: Great singing, problem with the sound
Decca ought to consider whether using surround sound is really such a good idea. Surround sound tends to emphasise background noise. Add to this the tendency for modern systems to favour low-frequency sounds, and personally I find the scenes with chorus marred by a distracting clumping of feet and shuffling of bodies.

Secret Garden’s latest, Once in a Red Moon, continues along the path of their previous releases such as Songs from a Secret Garden and Dawn of a New Century. Violinist Fionnuala Sherry and pianist/composer Rolf Lovland continue to combine in romantic and soulful ways around melodies that hover between the Romantic composers of the 19th century and the beautiful folk melodies and harmonies of many countries. Sherry’s playing is full of passion whatever the setting, giving real red-blooded feeling to whatever musical landscape Lovland’s pieces sketch out. Central to the expanded acoustic palette on this new album is the arranging skill of Kjetil Bjerkestrand, who combines absolute transparency of sound with compelling richness of texture. Guest singers Brian Kennedy and Karen Matheson illuminate lyrics to different tunes, including a re-setting of the “Danny Boy” melody that becomes a tribute to Lovland’s recently deceased mother. Celtic roots are never far away throughout this thoughtful and exquisite album, giving its overall yearning quality a particular and apposite focus. –Keith Shadwick

Customer Review: A great introduction to contemporary celtic music
“Once in a red moon” is a symphony for instruments and voice, echoing hebraic and medieval, celtic and spanish musicalities. The elegiac theme in “Awakening” is resumed and varied all along the album, finally ending with dramatic tones of requiem in “Elegie”. Two other compositions stand out from the instrumental part: the energetic “Invitation”, a record of joyous sonority and beating effect, and “Fairytale”, a musical ballad with trobadoric rhythm. The vocal part is dominated by “You raise me up”, where Irish voices of Belfast singer Brian Kennedy and Anúna choir are called to illuminate the spirituality of the lyric, and “Gates of dawn”, where the powerful, Gaelic melodiosity of Scottish singer Karen Matheson is transposed in a solo performance in English language. Definitely a gem. The included booklet about album making is a masterpiece in its genre.

While still informative, you would expect more from such a respected source. I think much more emphasis needs to be placed on the construction of the grow room itself. More time is spent on the plant itself than how to actually grow it, which is the idea behind the plot.

The King and I (1956 Film Soundtrack)

May 11th, 2008

The King and I (1956 Film Soundtrack)
Compared with the Broadway cast recording, the 1956 soundtrack to the film version of The King and I wins hands down. Yul Brynner is the king (literally and figuratively) in both formats (how could anyone else own such a role?), but the movie’s score has better sonics, Brynner’s voice is stronger, and the tunes are more memorable (thanks to Alfred Newman’s conducting and Ken Darby’s scoring) than on any of the various cast recordings. Marni Nixon sings the role of Anna (played onscreen by Deborah Kerr), Brynner delivers his hallmark performance, and the best-loved tunes–”Hello, Young Lovers,” “Getting to Know You,” and “I Whistle a Happy Tune” are the versions we’ll always remember. A classic. –James Hendrickson

Customer Review: Wonderful classic soundtrack!
If you loved the film like I did, you will want to buy the soundtrack. The audio quality is outstanding, and it will bring back fond memories!

Customer Review: Perfect Condition
I bought this CD as a Christmas gift for my mother who loves musicals. I looked all over the town where I live (Santa Maria, CA) and was unbale to find it anywhere. My search through Amazon brought up the product quickly and it was reasonably priced! It arrived within one week in excellent condition.

La Crosse Technology Ltd. Wireless Sun/Moon Forecast Station w/Oscar Outlook

May 11th, 2008

La Crosse Technology Ltd. Wireless Sun/Moon Forecast Station w/Oscar Outlook
Plan and prepare with a weather station Whether your are planning a family camping trip, backyard barbecue, wedding or any other outdoor activity Local weather conditions can vary block to block and while traveling. You may need to keep temperatures in certain rooms in your home at an optimum temperature (i.e. a baby’s room, wine cellar, etc.. During severe weather or during power outages, you will want the latest and most precise weather information. Instant temperature information relayed from a wireless sensor lets you know what you are up against and know what to wear for the day without stepping outside. A weather station can also control energy costs and save money as you precisely monitor you home or office environment

Customer Review: Nice Weather Station
I have a La Crosse weather station almost like this so when I saw this one on sale, I grabbed it. It has even more functionality than mine. But…it is smaller. In fact I didn’t know how small it was until I got the package. It is about the size of a 5×7 frame. It is a little small to see if you put it on a wall. If it was as large as mine, I would have given it 5 stars. I do like all the information it displays and of course it has the great feature of being wireless for outside temperature readings. I also thought the packaging was a little frail and oddly shaped - it made me feel like something was missing out of the package.

Customer Review: Missing Minneapolis/St. Paul
For whatever reason, the designers of this decided not to include Minneapolis/St. Paul (pop. 3.5 million) favoring instead two other Minnesota locations: Duluth (pop. 87,000) and International Falls (pop 6,703). Judgment like that makes me doubt other aspects of this product.

Breadman TR875 2-Pound Breadmaker, Stainless Steel

May 11th, 2008

Breadman TR875 2-Pound Breadmaker, Stainless Steel
Customer Review: Breadman Tr875
So much fun, this is my first breadmaker. It’s easy!!!! I love the recipes. So easy to clean!!

Thank ypou,

Erika, Long Island, NY

Customer Review: Breadmaker
I was excited about this bread maker. Then I tried it out. Its okay, easy to use and the bread isn’t bad either. I was not impressed with the handbook it came with, it has enough detail to get you started but not enough to really enjoy the bread machine and learn how to use it to its maximum.

The bread doesn’t alway rise well, or not as well as my last bread maker and the texture is not as light and fluffy because of this. My first loaf of bread was kind of doughy and disappointing. I had to throw the next loaf away.

Maybe its not the bread maker but the recipes I am following that have incorrect amounts, because when I alter the recipe, everything comes out fine. Im giving it three stars because Its an average breadmaker, and I am regretting not spending more money on a better unit.

Customer Review: landscape vision
this software is very poorly done. You have to set your graphics card to 96 dpi and that makes for undstable screen. Once the program comes up and running takes long time for selection from buttons to work. Slow, cumbersome, poorly written help menue. When want to add type of mulch the button doesn’t work and if it does you can easily draw the mulch onto the house and not where you want to place it. Decription of this says a pen appears after the selection of the mulch and then draw an outline with pen onto the area for the mulch. It doesn’t work. So caveat emptor on this software.

I bought this item for my wife to use in the yard because she has a bad back and has difficulty leaning over to plant flowers. It still hasn’t made it outside! We’ve been using it in the house! It’s ideal for both of us to sit on while we change diapers on our small children and play toys with them on the floor. It’s fantastic for those of us who have diffuculty getting down on the floor and back up again. I might have to buy a second one for outside use.

    Suncast SS1000 Storage Seat

    Customer Review: Juju
Great product and great price. Very easy to assemble and perfect size for outdoor toys!!!

    Customer Review: I love it
I totally love this storage box.

I had been looking for a seat style storage box for the front patio so that I could sit on it while I watch my fish in the pond and also store the pond equipment. I looked at several and they were all outside my budget so I bought this one.

My only complaint is that I can not put it flush with the wall… The lid design prevents this.

It was easy to put together and seems very well made and solid, should last for several years.

Customer Review: a garden of hauntingly beautiful tablaux
The Garden is a collagefilm, combining images, shot on super 8 with a soundtrack by long time collaborator Simon Fisher Turner that consists of music, noises, soundcapes and spoken words; it's a sort of follow up to Jarman's The Last of England (1987) in which he used the same techniques. The result is nevertheless nothing like 'the same' but inspiring new and of a staggering beauty. A gay couple represents Jesus and through a series of surreal and absurd visuals, the passion and condemning of Christ is being represented. There is no story told out loud, it's within the subconscious of the movie itself, and within that of the viewer. Never has a 'homemovie' been so professionally done that is is suitable for a large (cinema) audience, and yet, it's still one of the most personal cinematic confessions a filmmaker can create; in this paradox lies its true power.

Customer Review: What about the TV show?
Not a bad film at all, particularly Peter Cook’s performance. But the TV show was outstanding, with John Cleese in the role of L’Acrobat, David Kelly brilliantly funny as the Shah of Iran’s manservant, Alexei Sayle as Commissar Solzhenitzyn (”no relation”) and many other brilliant comedians involved. When will the TV show be released to DVD?

Victorinox Swiss Army One-Hand Trekker Lockblade Pocket Knife (Black)

    May 9th, 2008

Victorinox Swiss Army One-Hand Trekker Lockblade Pocket Knife (Black)
From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army knife a century ago comes this 12-item set of stainless-steel tools–all neatly contained inside a single implement that measures just 4-3/8 inches long (111mm). Sheathed in a black cover, the One Hand Trekker Lockblade is one of only three Swiss Army multi-tools with a one-handed serrated locking blade. A valued companion, this pocket knife carries a lifetime warranty against defects. The tools include a serrated locking blade, a bottle opener with a large locking screwdriver and wire stripper, a can opener with a small screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, key ring, toothpick, tweezers, reamer, and wood saw.

    About Swiss Army Knives
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener’s mother, and “inox,” or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer’s and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility.

Customer Review: Very nice, sturdy knife
I got one of these when it went on sale, and paid a low price. So I didn’t hesitate when the need arose to treat it rough. I had to open some steel banding on a pallet (the kind where the steel bands get perforated and bonded together with a crimping tool, not an extra clasp). Using a 15 pound wooden post, I hammered the flathead screwdriver into the crimped steel. (if it folded, that would have hurt) Pow! The knife emerged looking nearly new. The steel band, not so much. Recommended. As one other reviewer mentioned, the philips head screwdriver on this is on the side, and kinda sucks. But the locking knife and locking flathead let you do things with this knife you simply cannot do with a regular swiss army knife. In addition to the fact that 2 of the blades lock, both of them are quite a bit sturdier than the blades on a standard Victorinox knife. Also I’ve used the can opener, which is also sturdier than on a standard knife, and it works very smoothly.

    Customer Review: GREAT KNIFE
let me tell you something this is the best knife in the whole world. i just got this yesterday and i have used it like 20 times. really great knife. it is really solid and nice

    Customer Review: Very disappointing
This is a very poor quality puzzle. Very thin pieces and the paper tears away easily. Within 5 minutes the puzzle was a mess. Very disappointing quality. Shame, because it is a nice picture and a nice idea.
Customer Review: Should be made of of wood for ?8…
I bought this item for ?8. I’m dissapointed really, for ?8 i was expecting this item to be at least made out of wood, when in fact it’s only made from cardboard, and not vey thick cardboard at that… Considering this item is aimed at toddlers, it’s not exactly “toddler proof” due to the puzzles flimsiness, i wouldn’t leave my son alone with the puzzle, as i’m sure it would be bent and damaged in no time. My 22 month old son enjoys trying to complete the puzzle and loves the “In the night garden” scene, but it’s just not worth ?8. I would recommend buying this if the price comes down to at least ?4, other then that, i wouldn’t recommend it, as you can definitely find bigger, better quality puzzles elsewhere.

Customer Review: Such a good movie!
Why more people haven’t heard of this movie I can’t imagine! It is such a good movie and I never tire of watching it. Clive Owen and David Kelly were particularly good in it. Worth every penny and then some and please do not stop the movie when the credits begin to roll at the end otherwise you will miss a very funny remark that Clive Owen makes. I love this movie.
Customer Review: Roses are red, Violets are blue
This is a very enjoyable British comedy/romance. The story centers around a convict that as a young man committed some unknown crime. When he is transferred to a prison with an eye on rehabilitation he discovers he can grow plants. After he does well with the prison garden, hortaculture becomes a sponsored work project. As they become a media draw they get political interest as well and find themselves in a quandry to do what they want and what the government and society wants. This is fun to watch and I especially recommend it to those that enjoy British comedies. Good quality DVD with great replayability. This is based on a true story and well worth owning.

Victorinox Swiss Army Golf Tool With Callaway Golf Balls (Amazon Exclusive)

    May 9th, 2008

Victorinox Swiss Army Golf Tool With Callaway Golf Balls (Amazon Exclusive)
Victorinox’s Swiss Army Golf Tool Gift Set is the perfect gift for the golfer in your life when any special occasion comes up. It comes with a one-hand divot repair tool, a nylon carrying pouch with clip for your golf bag, and three Callaway Big Bertha golf balls. The Golf Tool does not look like a conventional pocket knife–it’s wider, flat and lies very comfortably in the hand. Ten tools are fitted underneath the robust, scratch-free nylon shell, including a ball marker, repair tool, tee puncher, groove cleaner, blade, scissors, tweezers, toothpick, and a nail file.

The Repair Tool can be extended using the golf ball shaped pushbutton and can be used to repair depressions in the grass. The blades fitted on the side disappear into the inside of the tool with the slightest pressure, so that the fork is very comfortable to use. The blade of the Groove Cleaner can be used to clean the grooves on the golf club, and is very useful for punching the position for the tee–especially in hard or frozen ground.

    • Repair tool
    • Tee puncher
    • Groove cleaner
    • Pocket knife blade

Customer Review: For a gadget golfer who’s already got everything
Let’s face it, this item rocks. I bought it as a gift for a buddy who is a complete gadget golfer, and already has everything under the sun. Even still, the genuine Victornox design and functionality was impressive. I’ve since put this on the “default gift” list, because everyone we golf with can’t help but say “wow, that’s so cool!”.

Customer Review: Swiss Army Golf Tool
I purchased this for my husband who had lost his original one on the golf course and was lost without it.. He was very pleased and satisfied with the item. He finds it very helpful and convenient.

Seed to Seed is a complete seed-saving guide that describes specific techniques for saving the seeds of 160 different vegetables. This book contains detailed information about each vegetable, including its botanical classification, flower structure and means of pollination, required population size, isolation distance, techniques for caging or hand-pollination, and also the proper methods for harvesting, drying, cleaning, and storing the seeds. Seed to Seed is widely acknowledged as the best guide available for home gardeners to learn effective ways to produce and store seeds on a small scale. The author has grown seed crops of every vegetable featured in the book, and has thoroughly researched and tested all of the techniques she recommends for the home garden. This newly updated and greatly expanded Second Edition includes additional information about how to start each vegetable from seed, which has turned the book into a complete growing guide. Local knowledge about seed starting techniques for each vegetable has been shared by expert gardeners from seven regions of the United States-Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast/Gulf Coast, Midwest, Southwest, Central West Coast, and Northwest.

Customer Review: not thorough enough to be very useful
I don’t know if there’s a better book on the subject of seed saving, but I’ve found this book frustratingly incomplete. There’s certainly a lot of information, but it seems like a lot of really important basics were left out. I would say for a majority of the plants I would like to save seed from this year I can’t figure out from the book whether the plants will cross with other things I’m growing or how far to isolate them if they would. I’m trying to figure out right now, for instance, if tabasco peppers (Capsicum frutescens) will cross with bell peppers and other Capsicum annum. The book has about a half a page of information on C. frutescens, which I think is a lot for such a minor species, but it still fails to give me that most basic information. I’d also like to know how many plants of each type I should grow to maintain adequate genetic diversity. The author mentions the importance of this, and there are a couple plants where numbers are given, but in most cases the reader is left without any numbers. I wish all this kind of information were covered more systematically, maybe with a simple chart or short paragraph at the beginning of each of the 20 plant families covered in the book.
Customer Review: Seeds for your garden
I was informed by a noted gardener this was the best book for those that want to save seeds. I am pleased.
