Customer Review: City centre nightmares
I\'ve had the tomtom one v3 for a month. It\'s bright, loud, frequently falls off the windscreen, acquires satellite signals quickly, is easy to follow and generates good routes on major roads across the UK. However, follow these directions in an unfamiliar city centre and you will stand a very good chance of being directed up a one-way street. The maps are hopelessly out-of-date and do not improve with the on-line update service. A recent visit to Liverpool saw me directed up a \"buses only\" street. I was stopped by the police who let me off with a warning when I explained the tomtom had sent me up there. I turned the tomtom off in Sheffield as its directions were abysmal. A roundabout on a major road near my house is still shown on the tomtom despite being replaced by traffic lights years ago. This essentially useless instrument could be rendered useful if tomtom took the time to keep their maps up-to-date. I have reported the errors via the on-line update and they are still not updated on my tomtom. If you want this for city-centre use, save your money - buy an A to Z atlas. I\'ve given it one star because it\'s pretty good cross country, but then who needs satnav on the M6?
Customer Review: No card slot
After having my Go 300 stolen this was a distress purchase. I deliberatly paid extra for this model as the product description claims that it has an external card slot. This is not true.
Also it wont work in a car with a coated wind screen. The facility to password protect is an advantage but I am going to paint the case and permanantly mark it to discourage any one else from taking it.

Customer Review: Tom Tom one XL europe
I read with some degree of intrepidation the negative reports below and decided to gamble and purchase the tom tom. Compared to what others have found, i am extremely impressed with it. It worked perfectly, updated without any fuss, and to date, hasn\'t led me down any blind alleys! The new software interface is extremely user friendly. I haven;t yet consulted any of the printed material that came in the box because it really was that easy to set up and start using.
Customer Review: Just too inacurate...
i\'ve had my tomtom for 4 weeks (after my Garmin 310D was stolen). i think tomtom are deluding themselves, or lying. granted the interface is good. but there are just too many map innacuracies. I live in SouthEast london in greenwich and down my road there is a road which has been blocked for years, if not decades, and tomtom assumes it can be taken every time. Worse, go to Sheepey and the entire dual carriageway is missing. Miles of road and several roundabouts... for a company that says you can update everyday that\'s laughable. Then the clincher, i went to felixstowe and tomtom tells you you can drive from felixstowe to alderston, ha bloody ha. that cost me 45 minutes...
